A Fun-Filled Day for a Crucial Cause

From dawn till dusk, attendees enjoyed a packed schedule of activities that kept the excitement high and spirits lifted. The Jeep Poker Run was the highlight of the day, drawing in Jeep enthusiasts and adventurers alike. Participants navigated through a scenic route, collecting playing cards to build the best poker hand. The stakes were high, and the competition fierce, but the camaraderie and support for the cause were even stronger.

In addition to the poker run, the event featured a variety of activities designed to engage and entertain. Attendees had the chance to win amazing prizes through attendance drawings and participate in a silent auction filled with unique items. The auction was a major success, with one standout contribution being four tickets to the Bommarito 500, generously donated by Clement Auto Group, who, despite not being physically present, showed immense support through this contribution and a donation to the GoFundMe campaign.

Making a Difference: The Fight Against Glioblastoma

Glioblastoma multiforme, commonly known as glioblastoma, is an aggressive and devastating brain cancer with a dire prognosis. Despite standard treatments—surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy—the median survival rate remains only about 15 months. The Glioblastoma Foundation seeks to change this narrative by advancing targeted therapies tailored to the unique molecular characteristics of each tumor, aiming to replace the current ineffective treatments with more personalized and effective options. To date, the Chief Summer Jeep Jam & Poker Run has raised an impressive $43,000 for the Glioblastoma Foundation. This year, with the community's continued support, the goal is to surpass previous records and contribute even more to the fight against this formidable disease. Despite the 2024 event already taking place the GoFundMe is still taking donations till 8/16 for any additional donations. GoFundMe Link
